Nepal Eco Adventure is an eco-friendly travel company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The company specialises in sight-seeing tours, adventure trekking, and tours in Nepal.The company is run by Chhatra Karki, who has professionals experience of more than 2 decades in the field of tourism in Nepal. He wanted to revamp the website and make it appealing and engaging.
Nepal Eco Adventure is an Eco-friendly Adventures company and so they wanted to display their Eco-friendly adventure packages via the website. The challenges were to carefully design an attractive website that could reflect Nepal Eco Adventure’s values.
Like many other websites, Nepal Eco Adventure was not responsive and therefore, the content was not nicely displayed on smaller screen sizes of the mobile devices. We were required to make the website responsive, so the contents are displayed nicely in a wide range of screens, including mobile devices including desktops, cell phones and tablets.
The existing website of Nepal Eco Adventure had a bounce rate of more than 90% and average time spent on the site by a user was around 1 minute. Our task was to make the website such that it could hold visitors for a longer period of time. This was important for the business as longer the visitors stayed on the website more likely they are to make a purchase. Improving the bounce rate was also very important for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
One of the marketing channel of Nepal Eco Adventure was Search Engine Optimization (SEO). So the website needed all the features required for SEO such as clean and changeable URL structure, sitemap of pages and images, image and page optimization, speed optimization, etc.
The existing website of Nepal Eco Adventure was built several years ago. Like many websites of that time, the website was not responsive. The Call to Actions (CTA) buttons were not distinctly displayed. In addition, the website was not engaging and the bounce rate was very high.
The challenge was to make sure the website reflected the brand image of Nepal Eco Adventure and solve all of the above mentioned problems.
We chose Green and Orange as the primary colors of the website. Both the colors perfectly represented the company as the green symbolizes Eco friendly nature and the orange denotes fun and adventure.
Engagement and bounce rate are closely related with readability and the way content is displayed on a website. So we chose a highly readable font and implemented beautiful typography to improve readability of the website.
For responsive design, we choose Bootstrap and made the site readable and adjustable on various screen sizes across the devices.
Like many websites, we built, we chose WordPress as Content Management System (CMS) for Nepal Eco Adventure because it is robust CMS. Best part of the WordPress is it is user-friendly and highly recommended and used by SEO experts in the SEO communities.
The Nepal Eco Adventure’s website now looks great and reflects the company brand. The website attractively showcases the trip packages from the company. The website is fully responsive and looks beautiful in various types of screen sizes, providing a greater user experience.
Within a month of the website launch, the average time spent by a user on the site increased by 400% and bounce rate reduced from 90% to 50%.
The feedback from client is great and inquiries and sales on the site have increased!
