Fresher Software Engineer (PHP)

We’re hiring freshers who have a solid foundation in PHP — whether you’ve built college projects, contributed to personal websites, or spent time learning seriously on your own. You may not have formal work experience, but you must be comfortable writing PHP code and genuinely excited about building products using WordPress.

You will be part of a collaborative engineering team that focuses on clean, scalable, and secure code — and you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills by working on technically challenging projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to kick-start or advance their career in WordPress engineering in a structured and growth-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do

• You will build and maintenance of WordPress themes and plugins using PHP
• Write clean, well-documented, and secure PHP code 
• Debugging and testing your work before handoff
• Learning best practices from experienced engineers
• Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions with the team
  

General Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent 
• Have a good grasp of PHP (syntax, functions, error handling, etc.)
• Have built something with PHP — even a personal or college project
• Understand basic web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Are curious about WordPress and eager to learn how themes and plugins work
• Are reliable, detail-oriented, and want to grow fast in a real engineering team

Bonus (Nice to Have, Not Required)

• Familiarity with WordPress structure (even basic customization experience)
• Knowledge of Git or version control tools
• Understanding of MySQL or relational databases
• Experience using ChatGPT or Copilot to debug/learn
