SEO Specialist (Mid-Level)
We are hiring a Mid-Level SEO Specialist to execute and continuously improve organic search performance for our WordPress and SaaS products.
This role requires high ownership in execution and research. You will be expected to proactively investigate SEO opportunities, ranking changes, and emerging trends including AI-powered search experiences. All major decisions and implementations will be reviewed and approved by a Senior SEO before rollout.
This is not a strategy ownership or people management role, but it does require strong initiative, analytical thinking, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Execution & Research
- Execute on-page SEO for WordPress and SaaS websites
- Conduct keyword research for blogs, landing pages, and product pages
- Align pages with search intent and user needs
- Identify SEO issues through audits and propose fixes for review
- Improve existing content to increase rankings and organic traffic
Content & SEO Collaboration
- Work closely with content writers to ensure SEO-friendly content
- Review and optimize content before publishing
- Provide clear SEO inputs such as keywords, structure, and intent
- Support content updates based on performance insights
AI & Search Discovery Research
- Research how content performs across traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery platforms (e.g., ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Gemini, Bing Copilot)
- Analyze opportunities to improve clarity, structure, and entity coverage for better AI visibility
- Propose content and SEO improvements aimed at increasing discoverability in AI-powered search experiences
- Stay updated on emerging AI search trends and share findings with the senior SEO for validation
AI-Assisted SEO Workflow
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT or similar) for keyword research, SEO analysis, and content optimization
- Write effective prompts to speed up SEO workflows
- Review, validate, and refine AI-assisted outputs before use
Performance Tracking & Investigation
- Monitor SEO performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- Track keyword movements, traffic changes, and page-level performance
- Investigate ranking or traffic changes, including those related to algorithm updates
- Prepare analysis and recommendations for review before execution
Collaboration & Delivery
- Execute SEO tasks based on briefs, priorities, and approvals
- Coordinate with content, product, and development teams when required
- Deliver work on time and incorporate feedback efficiently
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience
- Proven experience executing on-page and content SEO
- Ability to research, analyze, and explain SEO findings clearly
- Experience working with WordPress websites
- Familiarity with SaaS or product-led websites is a plus
- Basic writing or editing ability is a plus, not mandatory
Tools & Workflow
- Hands-on experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4)
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
- Comfortable working with SEO checklists, audits, and keyword briefs
- Experience working inside WordPress dashboards
